Good news for everyone who loves rescuing food! 💚 We’ve opened a new ResQ Market in Ruoholahti, Helsinki, at Itämerenkatu 3 B. Our new store offers an ever-changing selection of surplus products from food wholesalers and manufacturers, all at discounted prices.
The new ResQ Market means even more opportunities to rescue perfectly good food and discover something delicious along the way!
ResQ Market offers surplus products from food wholesalers and manufacturers that are still perfectly good to use but, for one reason or another, might otherwise go unsold.
So far, the selection has included fish and meat products, plant-based alternatives, ready meals, sauces, jams, and other tasty finds.

The selection changes constantly depending on what surplus products our partners have available. That means there’s always a chance to discover something new!
We’ve already had products from Tamminen, Vegem, Pielisruoka, Delitalo, Hyvä Apaja, Saimaan Tuore, and Anton & Anton. We’re also looking to expand our selection as new partners join us.

Just like with any other ResQ purchase, you can browse and buy products through the ResQ app and pick up your order at the store.
You’re also welcome to stop by and browse the selection in person before deciding what to buy. Just keep in mind that all purchases must be made through the ResQ app, as there’s no checkout counter at the store.
Add ResQ Market to your favourites in the app to get notified whenever new offers become available.
In addition to the new ResQ Market, you can also pick up surplus products from wholesalers at ResQ Kotikulma, located inside the Foodnix store at Redi shopping centre in Kalasatama, Helsinki. Both pickup locations are easily accessible by public transport.
Did you know that around 334 million kilograms of food waste are generated in Finland every year from food that was originally fit for human consumption? Food goes to waste at every stage of the supply chain, from primary production and food manufacturing to shops, restaurants, and households. (Natural Resources Institute Finland, 2024)
Many people know ResQ as a way to rescue surplus food from restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores. But perfectly good surplus food is also generated earlier in the supply chain, including at food manufacturers and wholesalers.
With the new ResQ Market, we want to give wholesalers and food manufacturers an easy way to sell their surplus products directly to consumers. By expanding our operations to different stages of the food supply chain, we can help even more perfectly good products find buyers instead of going to waste.
